Saving...
reading until 1:30 then went to see "Seargent York", a truly good movie. It is the first really good cinema entertainment I have seen in a coon's age. I laughed & wept & thoroughly enjoyed it. Drove back to the base stopping along the way for a malted milk & a sandwich. They don't seem to know how to make a thick malt down this way. Read awhile before going to bed. Finished St. Exupery's book "Wind, Sand & Stars." Found it full of adventure & philosophy & quite enjoyable. Couldn't follow him always in his philosophical wanderings but some of it was appealing & thought provoking. Sunday - July 15 Flew 4 hours today - 2 hrs & dual instruction in which I was shown the stall characteristics of an SNJ, then an hour of cut-gun landings (check) & an hour of power landings (practice). Did not do very well at all. In fact haven't done any very good
