Saving...
flying for quite a spell. I had better snap out of it. Had a letter from Jimmy George in which he said he had been assigned to the Mechanized Transport Division of the Marine Corps - and he learned to drive a car only a couple of years ago! Mon - July 6 Had my check out in inverted spins in an N3N this morning. Lt. Knudson was my instructor. His affable & encouraging manner gave me a much needed lift. He showed me also an inverted falling leaf & a slow roll, the latter of which I tried several times myself without much success. Got my power landing check in the afternoon. Did much better than yesterday. Wrote a letter to Clarke & one to Bob Stacy after supper. Spent the rest of the time before lights out reading several D.M. Registers which had been forwarded
