Saving...
Monday - July 27 I was awfully disappointed today when my gun jammed after firing only 5 rounds. Really thought I was getting "down" on the sleeve too. Did manage to 3 hits though. Will probably tow next time (the last), hence, my record is already in, and unimpressive it is. Think I shall put in for fighters anyhow & see what happens. This being my night off & Marvin being restricted I drove up town by myself. Saw a movie & then sat out behind the Patrician for awhile enjoying the moonlight & sea breeze. It was a beautiful night such as only poets can tell about Tuesday - July 28 Up late, studied awhile, wrote a couple of letters then a swim. Stopped at Eddie's tire shop for my tire that I had left to be fixed a week ago. Found he had ruined it completely in trying to put it in shape, but he says he'll have another just as good for me next week. Hope he won't gouge me too deeply.
