Saving...
my uniforms at City Tailors to be altered. Hope they can shape them up a bit. Got back to the base about 6:30. Groused with Bob for a couple of hours & then wrote a letter to Merle from whom I heard on Mon for the 1st time in quite awhile. The world picture continues gloomy & foreboding. The Germans continue to advance in the Caucasus, the Japs are showing increased activity around Australia, India threatens to begin a civil disobedience campaign if Eng. doesn't grant them complete freedom immediately, U.S. production is in need of steel, the shipbuilding program is in a bad way, nothing looks very good except the Allies slowly seem to be gaining air superiority everywhere - and that should eventually win the war.
