Had a two hour hop this afternoon - a formation check - went off pretty well. Letters arrived from Tait, Stace & mother. How fine it is to hear from all these folks. Stace is to be sent to Detroit for training as an electrician. That is about like King becoming a radio repair man. Sun - Aug 9 Two hours of course flying - just enough to indicate how precise your navigation must be if you expect to get back to the carrier. Rec'd an unexpected call from King about 7 oclock. He had a caught a ride into Miami & was at Union Bus Depot. I drove down to see him but we could spend only about an hour together for I had to be back at 9:15. It sure was good to see him. He looked about the same as always
