Saving...
Thurs - Aug 13 Stayed at Patrician - rose late, studied awhile, and then in for a swim Saw the movie "Mrs. Miniver in the afternoon. It was one of the finest cinemas I have ever seen. It brought forth in me more heartfelt emotion than I have felt for a long time Greer Garson & Walter Pidgeon are both so good. Back to the base at 6:30 - wrote a letter home & listened to Marvin & Bob argue rather aimlessly about the war effort Friday - Aug 14 Two camera gunnery hops with no film. Both useless hops, nobody knew what was going an nor why. The rumor is that we are to finish up in Brewsters. Glad of the chance to fly a faster ship, but there are so few of them in commission at a time we probably won't finish for three weeks - lamentable prospect.
