Sat. - Aug 22 More familiarization work. Sunday - Aug 23 Ditto We have the duty tomorrow - what a shaft! Bob's outfit hasn't had a watch yet! They are going through to dive bombing in SNJs and are up with us right. May even finish ahead of us. Mon - Aug 24 Another hour of familiarization then a landing check. The days creep by - will we never finish? Tues. - Aug. 25. Two hours of section work - attack tactics tomorrow "Nothing worries and wearies a man so much as trying to achieve absolute certainty in human affairs." Wed - Aug 26 Again I have failed to write here for several days. My neglect of this record bespeaks my interest in this last month of training. I am tired of it all & anxious to get home.
