Friday, Dec. 5, 1941 This morning we all took a bunch of written tests, to wit, an intellectual aptitude test, a mechanical aptitude test, at which I'm afraid I did not shine, and a biographical inventory question and answer sheet. In the afternoon we marched over to the South hangar and heard some beetle browed old rascal lecture on the danger of carelessness around a propeller blade. It was well and humorously presented. We, also, learned a little about the construction and operation of a plane. Following this we lined up in the sick bay for typhoid shots and vaccination for small pox. I guess we get "shots" about every Friday. Reminds me of the way we use to heard the pigs together for vaccination when we were still farming. Commander Wright phone up from the office of the Flight Selection Board over in town and asked for Ken & me to attend the final meeting of the K.C. quarterback club at the Continental Hotel tomorrow
