I should have mentioned that I ran into Lou Rich of the D.M. Reg. & Trib. in the lobby of the President Hotel; also, that I called Katie Smith for a date next Thurs. night. Paul Wolfe gave me her number and recommended her quite highly. Certainly, she sounded good over the phone. Saturday, Dec. 6, 1941 Spent about an hour and a half in the Christian Science reading room this morning. It is located in the Waldheim building and provides an atmosphere most conducive to effective study. It will be about the only place where I can find the peace & quiet requisite for decent Science study. Wrote several letters in the forepart of the afternoon, then Ken & I went to another punk show. We met Commander Wright, Dr. Robinson, & Ensign Jones in the lobby of the Continental Hotel about 7 oclock. The banquet turned out to be a much larger affair than I had anticipated.
