Saving...
down the sides of my neck I almost froze in the chair. I didn't suppose anyone could do so much damage to my tonsorial appearance in twenty minutes - and I was no Rob't Taylor when I went in. It was the 1st time I ever risked severance of my neck from my shoulders for two bits. You know, at best, eating is an ungraceful activity. But when 8 or 10 men are rapidly partaking of their sustenance at the same table it is some sight. Usually 4 men or so are facing each other as they eat. It brings back memories of my days on the farm as I watched the porkers get their feeding. I have noted that some of the most dignified officers lose all semblance of superior rank or excellency of movement while eating. Knowing my own shortcoming in this art, I grieve to think of the impression I must give.
