Saving...
gather around the football heroes as they get off the train in Chicago. A man must have patience around here. Everything is extremely impersonal. It will be a real test for my character & temperament. It is the first time in a good long time that I haven't had an immediate opportunity to show my full ability. I must qualify that - law school presented a similar situation, but the service tops even that experience for difficulty of recognition. Lolled around the barracks during the evening for about the first time this year.If I could find someplace suitable for a half hour or so of quiet reading & study each day I would have no major complaint, whatsoever, concerning this life. Expecting to hear from Bob Hobbs tomorrow. It would be grand if he could enter with the class coming in on Thursday.
