Saving...
the U.S. & Gt. Britain should work hand in hand for the freedom & security of the world. In my mind it can't be otherwise. Destiny will decree that the English speaking people shoulder this responsibility; I am sure of it. What a career Churchill has had! I have had few heroes in my short life experience, but he definitely commands my admiration & respect. He has been a man of action and of resolution. He has spoken and acted in accordance with a long run principle. He has not kowtowed to tyranny nor sacrificed fundamental truths to expediency. He does not yield! He epitomizes the staying power of the British. And what a speaker! Every word he utters makes my spine tingle. In the nature of military service it is very difficult to keep posted on the news. But I gather that things aren't going too well in the Pacific. Frankly, I am wondering what our Navy, of which I have heard so much, is doing.
