Saving...
duels I have ever seen. Monday - Dec. 29 A low ceiling forced cancellation of my scheduled instruction flight. Kind of a dull day when there is no flying. For some unknown reason the battery in my car was dead today. That means a battery and a muffler that must be fixed. It is a good thing a dividend on my stock came in today. Incidentally, that stock has gone down 5 or 6 points since I bought it. I'd just as soon see it recover one of these days. Tuesday - Dec. 30 Finished up my fourth hour of instruction today. Thoroughly enjoyed it and did pretty well. Even Thatcher said I had a good hour. Practiced my first landings toward the end of the hour. Believe that next hour I should get the hang of them pretty well. Served as student officer of the day this 24 hours. Not a very interesting job but good practice for future officer responsibility.
