Saving...
to appear weak and dissipated to the man walking directly behind him. Rather a bourgeoise observation, but interesting, don't you think? The first bomber turned out of the North American plant across the road was given a trial run yesterday. It was a twin motored, medium sized job with tricycle landing gear. It presented a magnificent sight as it roared north down the runway for its maiden takeoff. The entire personnel of both the plant and this training base gathered along the edge of the field to watch. The huge gray goose circled for altitude and then thundered back down over the middle of the field at about 800' feet. Man, how it did move along, growling out a prophetic warning to our enemies. This Navy base is to be moved out to Gardner (?), Kans. in the spring, I believe, sot that the bomber plant may have full use of this field for testing purposes when its production line rolls into high gear.
