Saving...
Thursday, Jan 8 Thatcher is grounded for sure, and it looks like Bergen will be my new instructor. Hope he gives me a few emergencies - haven't had any yet. Finally had to buy a new battery for my car. The expense was rather painful, but it is a relief to have it in good running order again. Things continue to go along pretty well. In a short while now we'll be heading south - and warm weather, light breezes, etc. Friday - Jan 9 Bergen came in like a lamb & out like a lion yesterday morning. During the forepart of the hour he was soft spoken and encouraging as could be desired, but the last fifteen minutes he filled with more profanity than I have heard in a long time. He wants me to glide in for landings much faster than Thatcher did. Believe I shall be able to meet his requirements better next time.
