Saving...
land, that is all there was too it. I was considerably less on edge for my solo than I was on my check flights. Following all this the flight office permitted me to go up for a full hour of solo. What a joy it was to cruise up and down the valley free from the intoning criticism of an instructor. Now I shall be able to experiment a little and really get the feel of flying. Am forced to confess that it is something of a relief to be successfully by this first barrier in my flying career. Tuesday - Jan 13 Was sorry to find that I wasn't scheduled to fly today. The quicker I can get in my solo hours the better chance I'll have to get home for a day or two before going south. Bob and I went over to the radio room tonight. I got some excellent practice sending to him for about an hour and a half.
