Saving...
ever so much better. Bergen, also, showed me flipper turns, rolls, flying upside down, "washing" a field and carrier landings. I enjoyed it all to the fullest extent - especially flying upside down at 1000'. Am beginning to get the "feel" of the plane more and more each time. Of course, with this brief instruction flipper turns are the only maneuvers which I will be permitted to practice on solo hops. The McKay's asked me out for dinner - and how enjoyable it was. We had fried chicken, peas, excellent mashed potatoes, and upside down cake. It seemed almost like home. The children kidded their mother, and the youngest talked all the time much to the embarassment of Merle, and Billy. And speaking of Merle, what a fine looking girl. I wish to goodness I had called on her sooner. I was just as well impressed this second time as I was the first which is of some significance. Too bad she is so busy, with her dramatic work and I with my flying.
