Saving...
base following which we saw the movie "Hellzapoppin," had supper, shot the bull for awhile, and finally to bed. Monday - Jan. 19. This morning was absolutely perfect for flying. The air was smooth as silk, the sun shone brightly, everything was just right. No one who has not flown on such a day can appreciate the feeling of exultant joy it gives. Officially assumed my duties as Right Wing Commander today. Things went along quite well. Don't believe it will involve as much work as I first thought. After supper I sent some radio code to Pettit, Rismiller, and Hobbs. Receiving is sometimes hard but sending correctly is even more difficult. It is good practice for me, however, as well as helpful to the other boys.
