next time I think I could do quite well. Spent the whole evening after supper writing letters, and even then didn't catch up on all my correspondence. Saturday - Jan 24. My plane wouldn't start this morning so had to wait until the 3rd hour to fly, the mechanics working on it in the meanwhile. Took a disappointing drop in my radio code this afternoon On Wed. of this week I took 10 wpm and today I only got 9.2. That can be chalked up to indifference of thought when I walked into the code room. I was inalert, and not keyed up at all, not on my toes. Will see what can be done next week. We had personnel inspection followed by company drill around 3oclock. Did fairly well, and certainly as well as most of the Marine sgts did their jobs. They aren't too sharp on their company drill commands by a long shot. The right wing finished up the day cleaning up lockers. Kind of
