Saving...
because he has a final flight check tomorrow. I am staying until Friday to help get the new Wing Commander started, and, also, to enable Bob to ride home with me if there should be no flight operations over the weekend. Ken headed for Iowa City all aglow over the prospect of seeing his heart interest. Bob & I went over to K.C. Mo. for dinner and then to a punk movie. Home early and shortly to bed. Thursday - Jan 29 Having finished up both my flying and ground school, I did little but loaf around today. Did drive over to town and buy a couple of foot lockers for Ken and me. Took Merle to see Ted Weems' stage show at the Tower then up to the Drum Room for a while. Must say I'm not much of a nightclubber. Everyone was doing the congo and rhumba - I felt like a fish out of water. Had a wonderful time, though - sorry in this respect that I am leaving K.C.
