Well, section 50 lost no one on final checks or final exams. Our little group is intact at ten. It is amazing how attached you can become to the men in your section. I think we have a particularly good bunch - they are a swell outfit of happy-go-lucky fellows. Here is a list of them: Pettit, Ken Tamisiea, Jack Westbrook, Wellington Hotchkiss, B.D. Quillen, Vincent Haugebak, Marvin Agan, Al Ledbetter, Lou Barker, Bill Kinnick, Nile By golly, I have had a good time at this base. Have met a lot mighty good acquaintances, learned to fly to a degree, and still have had time to get out a little now and then. Once again I say that my football and college experience in general has been excellent training for this period
