Saving...
Friday - Jan 20 Loafed around the barracks all day waiting until Bob was secure. Finally, at 1600 the base was secured, and we took off for Omaha. It was a very enjoyable ride despite the fact I only got 3 hrs sleep last night. I'll never cease to be thankful for my car. There we were speeding along at a good clip, warm and comfortable, listening to the best music the radio had to offer. Real luxury. We got into Omaha about 8:40 PM, and stopped to get some flowers before going on home. I purchased a dozen jonquils for my mother, and Bob got his a potted plant, a cyclamen, or something like that. It was sure good to get home again. Mother fixed me some sausage and scrambled eggs and a fine salad. We visited till late and then finally to bed.
