Given half a chance, I'll willingly endeavour to make up for lost time. Sunday - Feb. 1 How typical this Sunday morning was. While I still languished in bed mother was up and around getting ready to leave for the church, all the while urging George to hurry up so he wouldn't be late for Sunday school. With the noon meal finally in the steam cooker mother and George were off. Shortly thereafter I arose and leisurely perused the morning paper whose headlines proclaimed Singapore was preparing for a last ditch stand. At 10:45 father and I headed for church. It was the last time I'll hear mother read, for her term is up in April. She has done an excellent job and enjoyed it very much, but, nonetheless, I'm glad it is coming to an end. It will give her more time - she has been pretty busy these past three years. George and I went to the movie "They Died with Their Boots On" late this afternoon. It was the story of Gen.
