adequate. After shaving and cleaning up a bit, we sauntered out to look the town over and see if we could find any of the boys who came down on the train. Although we looked in every bar on Canal st., we couldn't find any of them. Finally, about 12:30 or so we turned in, tired and ready for a good sleep. I did all the driving on this trip - 8 hours straight yesterday, and 11 hours today - have had enough driving to last me for quite awhile. Thursday - Feb 5. Arose quite late and not with much alacrity even then. Wrote rapidly and not too coherently in my diary, trying to get it up to date before everything slipped my mind. We had lunch at Morrisons cafeteria - quite a nice eating place - then dropped over to the Des Soto Hotel to see the boys who came in on the train. They had a pretty "rough" time on the way down and were still at it today. Around 1:15 PM. we drove out toward Tulane U., then back through
