Saving...
Friday- Feb. 6 The first thing this morning we had a routine physical check, and then around noon a radio test just to see how much we had forgotten since leaving E. base - I didn't do too well - can attribute it to carelessness. Must begin to snap out of it in radio unless I am to be satisfied with doing just fairly well. In the afternoon we had a lengthy lecture on the 11 general orders for guard duty. On coming out I noted on the bulletin board that I am listed for the "dog watch" (12-4AM) on Sunday. That being a holiday I'll have to stand from 12-4PM also. Nice life - and in a hurry! This base augurs to be a not too pleasant place- not much liberty and lots of watches and ground school. I am going to miss K.C. - and how. From here on out the play is out, I guess. Can't think of anyone whose looks I liked better on 1st appearance than the present (S.B.O.) Wing Commander, Radebaugh. He is a giant of a man, pleasant, affable, unaffected - and doesn't know me from Adam
