is not difficult to understand, but very painstaking and takes lots of time. Haven't seen a paper for days - don't have any idea how things are going. Am behind on my correspondence - don't know whether I'll ever catch up. Such is life in the Navy. Now for some names around this base. Lt. Comm. Gillespie is the captain of the base. Lt. (jg) Pike is in charge of ground school, I believe. In other capacities are, Lt (j.g.) Gilbert, psychologist; Ensign Chase, Kellog, Knox, Lt (jg) Castleman. Wednesday - Feb. 11. During the two hours in which I didn't have to go to Physics I wrote a few letters, wrapped a pr. of Hobbs' pants for mailing which I inadvertently carried off, took care of my laundry, etc. Radio still not going too well. Finally managed to get the summer pants which they failed to give me in Kans. City. Now if Bob sends me my pants which I left at Fairfax
