Wonder what my first reaction will be! Provided my on church services this morning by reading my lesson. First time I have read it clear through for over two weeks. Am better situated to get some studying done now. Ken & I dropped down to the cadet club for awhile this afternoon. Very pleasant little place with a fine bar, leather chairs & lounges, and two pool tables. Saw a movie about 3:30 PM - not very good. As a follow up on the comment I made a couple of days ago that athletics were of much value, I want to say this. It provides a wonderful opportunity for initiating acquaintance. Regardless of the degree of our civilization people still thrill to physical combat & admire the man who excels. He who is of proven merit in the field of major sports has shown to all that he is possessed of a strength, vigor, stamina, and courage. The great majority of people want to know such a man. What that man does with such an opportunity to make friends depends
