Saving...
in the oxygen chamber yesterday I was sent to the pistol range where the majority of the class had already had their turn. Because of a shortage of 45 caliber pistols we shot .22 Colt Aces -- a nice little gun. Our target was a cardboard silhouette of a mans upper torso and head. We were firing from 25 yards - 1st deliberate and then rapid fire. I did no better than average, I'm sure. Was better at rapid fire than when I took my time in aiming. Baseball from 3:30 to 5 PM and a show after supper. The movie was quite good, starring Edward Arnold as Dan Webster & Walter Huston as Mr. Scrath, in "All that Money Can Buy". It was based on the old New England conception of the evils of avarice, a man's battle with his conscience, and the legend that Black Daniel could out talk the devil himself. It was well put together and cleverly allegorical to the end.
