Oat Cakes Mrs Garland Take an equal quantity of Oatmeal & Wheat meal; to a quarter of a Peck of this put four Eggs a little Salt & a bout 6 Spoonfull of Barm, put as much Milk as will make the thickness of an ordinary Stif Pudding, let it stand to Rise by the fire for an hour, & bake e'm on a quick Stove. the oatmeal must be run thro a coarse Hair Sive dry your Flw'r, To Stew Pidgion, Mrs Darcy Take some butter & brown it in your Pan then take your Pidgions & lay e'm in it wth their breasts downwards, till they're brown all over, then put to your Pidgions & butter as much strong broth as will Cover e'm, & to six Pidgions two spoonfull
