A mighty scandal to Religion but of pernicious Consequence many other ways: A fierce & ill goverened & ignorant an inju-dicious zeal for y Honour of god & something or other belong-ing necessarily, as they think to his true Worship & Service, hath made many men do many unreasonable, immoral & impious things the practice of [y?] Jesuits & other Zealots of Church of rome y there are not wanting too many examples of this kind amongst our selves for men that are not sober & considerate in their Religion but give themselves up to the concut of blind prejudice & furious zeal do easily persuade themselves that any thing is lawful which they strongly fancy to tend to y Honour of god hence some have proceeded to that height of absurdity in their zeal for their Religion & church as to think it not only lawful but highly commendable & meritorious
