4 Selma Ala Sept 19" 1865 Tuesday the 12" Iowa has been relieved by an Order from Genl Davis from Duty in the Sub District of Selma, with orders to Report to Gen Chrysler of the Sub District of Taladega, So we will probably go to Blue Mountain & vicinity for Duty. Blue Mountain is the terminus of the Railroad from Selma. the Order making the Change was Dated Sept 15" the Same day He got the Telegram reporting the Mutiny of 70 men of the Regt. Chaplin Humphrey went to Mobile foolishly thinking to get the Regt out. Very Cool to day (Vertically, at left:-) wrote a letter to D. B. Henderson
