(66) To Pickle Onions Take your Small Onions and peel them, and give them a boil in Water and put them in a Crock With Vinegar, Pepper, Mace, & Cloves. To Pickle Mushrooms Take your Small Buttons, and put them in Salt and Water. Rub them Very White With a flannel Cloth, and Steep them in Milk & Water, then put some Water in a Toss-pan over the fire and when it boils pour in your Mushrooms and let them come to a boil, & no more, and pour them into a Cullinder Immediately then Spread them on a table With a Cloth Under them till they cool, then take half
