An Excellent Ointment for a burn or Scald Take of Bay Leaves, Balm Leaves, Camomell, Red Sage wormwood and Rue of Each of these one pound and as many pound of mutton Suet, Mince all these herbs and [Such?] as small as you Can, then pound it, and add to it three pounds of Neats foot oyl put the whole into an Earthen pan and Let it stand nine days Stiring it once a day then Boile in on a Gentle fire till the Virtue is out of the herbs, then Strain it and add to it four or five ounces of Oyl of Spike and put it into Gelly pots for use
