Shrimp Powder Pick two quarts of Shrimps - lay them on Tins and put them in a Slow oven or before the fire till they are sufficiently dry to rub to a Powder - then put them in a Mortar - add to them a little Mace white Pepper & Salt - put it in a Bottle and put a Tea Spoonful of it into any Fish Sauce that you like - To make Wafers. Peel receipt - Take the yolks of Two Eggs, beat them well, put to them a little more than a Pint of Water - a quarter of a Pound of Loaf Sugar and a pound of Flour - Mix all very Smooth together - take great care it is not lumpy - let it stand all Night and when you bake them in your wafer Tongs, grease them with a Bit of Suet in a rag between every wafer or two =
