To cure a Cough 
2 Tablespoonsful of Treacle 
1 Do of Vinegar 
20 Drops of Laudanum 
Dose - Take a teaspoonful whenever the cough is troublesome - but care must be taken to shake the bottle of the mixture well before the remedy is taken
another for the same purpose 1 tA of Treacle 
230 Drops of Laudanum 
1 oz of Elixir of Vitriol 
1/4 pint of Vinegar (from white wine) 
well mix the above together put the ingredents, into a Bottle and afterwards shake it well therein - Dose - a teaspoonful to be taken whenever the Cough is troublesome half a teaspoonful for an infant used. 5 years old - HW - 17 June 83
To cure the Rheumatism - Sir Hutton Cooper Md
Mix two Tablespoonsful of sweet oil, one Tablespoonful of Laudanum, one Tablespoonful of Spirits of Hartshorn together - rub the part affected three times a Day with a Flannel made wet with the mixture -
