Put a gill of white wine into a saucepan with 2 anchovies chopped an onion lemon peel 1/4 lb butter rolled in flour a little thick cream & a large teacupful of the liquor the carp was stewed in boil a few minutes drain the Carp add to the sauce the yolks of 2 eggs mixed with a little cream when it boils squeeze in the juice of 1/2 lemon - Pour it hot on the carp When dished -
