To make bread to every pound of honey add one quart of Spring Bater, allowing a quart of two according to your quantity for wast in boil. Boil it brisking a quarter of an hour shimming it as long as any gulp scum rises -- then throw into it a quarter of a pound of hops and a sprig or two of lemon, thyme, and sweet marjoram boiling it a quarter of an hour longer - strain it off thro' a sieve then cold cut a good large slice of bread - toast it brown and cover it with a Ale yeast put it in brim- let it stand stand two or three days - then put it in your
