Thursday June 10th 1880 I ironed this forenoon. There was a show in town and Hatt went over and Win came home with her. In the afternoon we picked over a half bushel of goose-berries and I put them up after supper. We all sat up on the porch and listened to the music over to the show. A very warm day indeed. Friday June 11th 1880 Mother and I got the stove up in the summer kitchen and I got the screens up to keep the flies out of the house and cleaned up the back part of the house real nice. I went over to Wins soon after supper to go to society. We called at Mohanas and as we were nearly to the University we were told there was no society and went home. I staid all night there. We were disappointed and provoked later in the evening when we found there had been society. Weather still very warm. I had a letter from Charlie yesterday.
