Saturday September 18th 1880 It was a rainy day and we could not go to the valley tonight to the social. I got the house all in order by noon and lamps cleaned. We did up the dinner work and I practiced two hours. I worked a little on a tidy in the evening. Sunday September 19th 1880 I did not try to go to church and it took most of the forenoon to get the work done I wrote a letter to Hatt and John in the afternoon and to Charlie in the evening Mother went out to Fletchers and I got the supper alone. Father went to Auntys to stay all night. Monday September 20th 1880 I got my work done and practiced an hour and a half. Aunty was here a few moments We did a large washing in the afternoon Weather cool and pleasant We heard from the boys I wrote to them this evening.
