Saving...
162 Monday April 11th 1887 We did a large washing this forenoon and after dinner I slept a couple of hours as I did not sleep well last night after I got up I went out where Will was fixing the garden fence. Mother and I took a walk down in the lot. Tuesday April 12th 1887 Mother and I together did the ironing before ten oclock when she went over to the church. I got dinner over and cut out some sewing to do for May. We had applications for summer boarders, two gentlemen and wives. I went out where Will was making gardens. Mother came home before supper. The boys burned their leaves in the lot after supper. Wednesday April 13th 1887 I was sewing a little before Mother went to Robinsons in the forenoon. I got dinner after she went away, and went to town in the afternoon to get a few things. I walked down to the hill to see where the boys had fixed the spring after I came home and met Mother. We had turkey killed in the evening. Thursday April 14th 1887 I was busy all the morning cleaning the house up. Hatt with Mrs Lathrop & Minnie spent the day here. I sewed a little in the afternoon. It was a real pleasant day. Will bought a young bay mare to drive with Mollie for which he paid one hundred dollars. I sewed a little in the eve, went to bed early. Friday April 15th 1887 It was a cold windy day. I was sewing what spare time I had. Will was driving the colt in the forenoon. In the evening We all went to town in the evening to hear the Jubilee Singers, and were well pleased with the music. Saturday April 16th 1887 I went to town the first thing this morning to get groceries. I saw Will over there and he brought me home. Mother and I worked out in the yard all our spare time, was tired and went to bed early Sunday April 17th 1887 Mother and Father were gone down to Aunt Libs all day. I got dinner and read a little in the afternoon. It was supper time when they got home, it rained in the evening. Weather cool.
