May, FRIDAY,2 1862. The weather is still a little too cold for comfort the shines very warm to day, this is fast day with the U.P. Congregation or what they term the preparation [preparitory?] to communion and Mr. Cleaves being after good I am left alone in the store to day and there is but very little trading going on in Town to day the Mail Just came in no Important news in regard to the war Mr Cleaves came Home to day He has bought about a Thousand dol worth of goods he says they will be here tomorrow He found good very high.
