Saving...
May, Sunday, 11, 1862. This is a very fine warm day and I have been at Church. Mr. Shearer was so hoarse that he could not speak so we had a sermon by the Rev McKee. His text was as followes. How shall we escape iff we neglect so great salvation. I dont think I will go to church any more to day. I called on Hall in the after noon and then I went Home and tryed to sleep but could not. In the evening I called on Capt Moore. He is lying very sick of Tiphoid fever and then I called on Cynthia and escorted Her to church. I think that will do pretty well for one days work.
