June, WEDNESDAY, 4, 1862. It looks very mutch like rain this morning again. I was so lonesome last night I had to go to singing and I went home with Synthia and staid till Two o.clock this morning and now I shall feel like the Devil all day but I dont care a cent, we have not had mutch trade to day the mail brought news of a battle near Richmond Va whitch resulted in our favor. Unkle Dan and Aunt Sarah went visiting to the country to day I wish they would come back soon for I feel very hungry. I am glad that night is near for I am sleepy and tierd staying in the store.
