Monday eve Nov 10th,,/l862 I commenced to write this letter this morning & before I got one page done I was called to go on picket so I had to lay it by. by some mistake there were to many pickets & after we marched around the line of pickets I & Monroe was was left unposted so we marched to Camp & got here about dark. the mail had come in & fetched me a letter from Simon Francis dated the 26th,, of Oct. and two for Delos one from his wife & one from Sister Libbie. I read the one from Libbie & it appears she has been to Buffalo & had a fine ride on the Cars. Simon wrote he had got the money on that note of Mr. Wells but had'nt got the
