Mower Hospital Chestnut Hill Phila.. Pa. Dear Friends; I hasten to write a few lines in answer to your very welcome letter of Aug 2d which I received in due time, and now will attempt to answer it. It is very warm here today and I do not feel much like writing every thing is so very dull. I have not heard anything from Deloss yet more than what you wrote I have written to M.. H.. Shannon and rec'd. an answer, date July 31st.. near Warrenton, he writes the same I have heard before and nothing new. I suppose our Reg't. is to filled up with drafted men, and I think it will take a goodly number too.
