(Added note at head of page:-) Tell your Ma I am much obliged for the Stamps for mine were all gone Murfreesboro Tenn. Feb. 9th 1863 Miss Nancy Davis Dear little Daughter A few minutes since I received your mothers letter of the 4th inst in which she says that you think hard because I never write a letter to you So I thought I would not let you complain any longer but will write to you immediately When ever I wrote a letter to Orrilla I always intended it for both of you and thought you would so understand it. I am glad to hear that you are well and that you are growing to be so large and I expect by the time I get to see you, you will be so large I wont hardly know you. I am well and hearty but I guess I have not growed as much since you saw me as you have Jo. Muller is well and often talks about you and Orrilla. and I believe he would rathe see you two than any body els. He has no sisters to want to see and I think he would be as glad to see you as many a one would be to see their sisters George Rinehard is also well and is a large man now and I dont think you would know him if you was to see him. Him and Jo are both bully boys and as good Soldiers as ever I saw. While we were in the hardest of the fight
