money matters We are promised pay for Nov & Dec in a few days but it may come and may not. the 40 & 57. Ind are being paid today and are paid up to Jan 1st and I think they will pay us to that time also but no telling I am well as usual and am now back to my own Company but how long I will remain I do not know but in all probability not long for there is now 3 officers and only about 40 men in the company so that my chances for being sent somewhere is is very good, The health in the Regiment is good not withstanding the almost continual rain which avrages more than one half of the time, We are still occupying our old camp but how long we will remain here is uncertain, I see in the paperes evry few days that Rosecrans Army is preparing to advance but I cant see the preperations unless constant work on fortifications and accumulation
