what war is by sad experience but I say they have not yet learned A.B.C. of it. You speak of the amount of damage they have done. Now if [218.00?] men does damage to a country in passing through it as fast as such a body of men can go, what do you thing a country is after an army of 100 000 or more has occupied and marched over it for 18 months as has been the case in this and many other parts of the South. I think you done a wise thing in remaining at home dureing the excitement and just here let me give you a little advice and that is if Morgan or any other man should invade Union Co. the best and safest place is at home for if you stay there and mind your business you will fare much better than if you should leave for then evrything you left would be destroyed sure. It does us good here to hear how the people at home have rushed to arms to repell the invaders but are sorry to hear of the fatal mistake made by them when they got to fireing on each other and still more pained to hear that little Union has offered up some more of her noble sons to the Demon War
