Camp warren Aug 5 Dear friends at home I have set down to inform you that we have received marching orders for St. Louis tomorrow at 7 o'clock the 5th and 6th have gone to keokuk we were expecting some of you folks down to see us before we went away but if this reaches you before you start you need not come we are all well except John Vannata is at the hospital and he is on the mend It is pretty hot to go so far south
