861551 Oct 1 1861 Dear brother John I will Answer your Leter that I got from you A good while ago but stuart was writing all the news and i thaught it was not worth my while Well John we are at school now and we are all well at presant and all the nabours in general with the acceptions of Mr Glenn he has the sore throat he is not dangerous this week is the week of the second church sacarament it rained sabth day and there was very few out Lisy Black is agoing to start home to day and she is anxious to here how sam is She has not hurd since that Leter we got from you that Leter Phebe and I got from jimy said nothing about the sick folks we have hurd so meny stories about sam some times we would here that he was not expectd to live other times he was not very bad so we dont know what to believe we have not herd from Mary for a good while Will got a leter about to weeks ago from rob and he said that Mary and frank was geting along fine we have not got A leter from Dave for Three weeks but we have herd from him Maxil was up and he said that the white sweling was breaking out again and we are expecting him home prety soon I had A leter from Mary Eurin and seh said that they were all wll Mathew was going to school John white is doinn well he is at Palmers niow he has not any leter yet our folks is working at our cane now they are prety nere done with ours it takes me about buisy to watch the catle they are geting quite bothersome now I will turn over a new leaf
